Washer Parts Diagram

Summary – Messy and failed fixing of your washing machine is a thing of the past now. With the washer parts diagram it has almost become a child’s play.

A washing machine often faces problems in its parts including the coupler. They can be repaired easily with a help from the washer parts design.

If the washer of your machine does not agitate or spin, there is a good chance that the coupler is broke. The first thing that you are supposed to do after disconnecting the power is to loosen the control panel. The control panel is usually held in its place to the cabinet with the help of two screws at the base of the panel, on the right and left edge. They could also have trim pieces attached to the control panel on each end. These pieces will pop off following a simple tug at the top. You would then find two screws in the front corners. There could be spring style clips under the end caps of the control panel. A butter knife or scrapper would be sufficient to remove them.

After loosening the panel according to the washer parts diagram, you need to disconnect the lid switch harness and remove the cabinet from the frame. For this, locate a spring clip on the outer edge of the top of the cabinet. Once you are able to release the clips, grab the cabinet and pull it away from the frame and set it off to the side.  Take off the clips completely from the motor. You now need to take the screws out of the clips that hold the motor to the transmission and remove them using a standard screw driver. After removing them, the motor should come loose. Next, unplug the motor wire harness and set the motor off to the side. At this point, you should be able to see all the parts to the coupler. Remove all the parts from the transmission and motor and inspect them for any cracks or broken parts. If the coupler is not broke, there could be a problem with the transmission.

Install the new coupler following the washer parts diagram. Put one piece on the transmission shaft. Then, line up the coupler to the shaft of the transmission and tap it on the rest of the way without much force. The third part of the coupler connects the motor to the transmission. Line up the post on the coupler with the holes in the rubber piece. Now, put the clips back on the motor and reinsert the screws. Plug the harness to the motor and reinstall the clips that hold the pump to the motor. Put the cabinet back, following the reverses process as illustrated in the washer parts diagram.
